Dear RSVP Volunteers,
On behalf of the staff and myself, I want to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for the dedication and unwavering support you have shown to RSVP. Your kindness and tireless volunteer efforts make a tremendous difference in the lives of so many people in need within our community. We are thankful for the time, energy, and love you give.
This summer, on a visit to the Fire Island Lighthouse, I had the great pleasure of meeting some RSVP volunteers. I was so impressed by the wealth of knowledge they shared with me about the history of the lighthouse and Long Island. In the past, when I visited with my young sons, they hurried me through the lighthouse because it was all about how fast they could go up and down all those steps! This time, however, it was different. I visited with my friend’s daughters, who were genuinely captivated by the volunteers’ stories. They took the time to ask questions and listen, and it was heartwarming to see the connection formed between the volunteers and the next generation. That experience reminded me how important it is to take the time to truly appreciate the wisdom and dedication that volunteers like you offer.
Your volunteer work reaches far beyond just the tasks you perform; it reflects your deep commitment to making the world a better place for everyone. The difference you make is felt not only by the individuals you serve, but by the entire community. Your compassion and spirit of service set an example for all of us.
We are truly grateful for your ongoing contributions to volunteerism, and we look forward to continuing to work together. Thank you for being a truly wonderful volunteer!
Sincerely,
Maryflorence Brennan
