RSVP HAS NEW PARTNERS…..
Destination Accessibility US, Inc. is the source for detailed accessibility descriptions of leisure locations. Individuals can find mobility information about a variety of destinations based on personal visits.
Volunteers are needed to visit a venue (i.e. museum, theater, restaurant, etc.) to check on its accessibility for people with mobility limitations.
The volunteer must be willing to take photos, follow a checklist and write about their personal experience on the date they visited.
People with mobility limitations will “know before they go” exactly what they will find when they get there. They will be able to make informed choices about whether to visit a specific venue.
Friendship Kitchen. Anyone who comes to their door will be given a meal, no questions about need. Volunteers are needed to cook, assist the cook, wash dishes and general cleanup, prepare goody meals and help hand out hot meals and goody bags for their guests to take home.
